Who is this for?
Appsumo provides the latest AI and SaaS products from around the world. They are vetted by the Appsumo Team and then placed onto their marketplace.
These products range from operations to lead generation, AI image creation, and learning management systems for coaches and consultants...and much more...including courses on how to: Start A Podcast, automate your business, AI Music and Website Generators...the list goes on and on.
All entrepreneurs and small businesses can benefit from having access to the latest AI, automation, and SaaS applications. But...
Rule #1: The first rule of shopping on Appsumo is...
...do not go with your credit card handy! For those of you that have never been to Appsumo...this is to protect you from yourself. When we suddenly have access to entire "businesses in a box," the latest AI Social Media Scheduler, the ability to create perfectly crafted SEO blog posts to help us rank, the power to automate manual tasks that we have been doing the same way for years...
It can be a bit much to see...and get excited about.
Rule #2: Go with Intent
If you know the problem you are trying to solve, you will look for the solution to that problem.
For instance, if I know I want to replace a monthly cost from Calendly, I am going to go look for a new scheduling app on Appsumo first.
Why would I go look on Appsumo first?
- I will likely find a lifetime deal on Appsumo. I pay once, not monthly.
- 60 Day Return Policy. Use it for 59 days and return it. Just kidding, don't do that. These founders work hard; they are great to support.
- I find real reviews from real experts and business owners who are using that product.
To find these apps I would search:
Software > Calendar and Management
Going with the intent of what we want instead of "window" shopping on Appsumo allows us to spend less. And, when you go and start looking through the apps...you will understand what I mean. You can get everything...
Rule #3: Can I use it now?
This is a big one. So many people get wrapped up in...
Once I HAVE this (an Appsumo app let's just say) I can DO this so I can BE this.
So why do I ask the question...Can I use it now?
I have purchased many products that I "thought" I needed...only for them to get redeemed and then to sit there, doing nothing. There are a number of reasons...
- Initial set up took too long and then I forgot.
- I saw another product that seemed to fit better.
- I bought waaaaay too many products at once and then only followed through on a few.
If you can use it now and can find the time to set it up, then ask yourself...
"How does this product fit into my current tech stack?"
You will have a much higher likelihood of actually using that product if you know how you will use it on a regular basis.
